English Writing Composition for Spanish Speakers – Easy to Use Workbooks

Fisher Hill has six easy to use workbooks to help Spanish speakers improve their English writing skills.  The series is called English Writing Composition for the Spanish Speaker. https://fisher-hill.com/product-category/composition/ The series uses a structured and systematic approach in teaching the different writing skills. English Writing Composition for the Spanish Speaker Book 1 begins by teaching basic sentence structure, progresses to longer, more detailed sentences, and ends with students writing informative paragraphs.  The final book in the series includes instruction and practice for writing compound and complex sentences. It also provides instruction and practice for writing essays. By the time students finish the six-book writing series, they will be able to compose informative, operational, and persuasive essays.  These six workbooks are full of writing activities and graphic organizers to help students improve their writing skills. The workbooks are bilingual.  The directions are in Spanish.  The English translations for the Spanish directions are located at the back of each book.  There is also an answer key at the back.

As with all skills, writing takes practice, practice, and more practice to become proficient.  The English Writing Composition for the Spanish Speaker series provides the practice and information Spanish speakers need to improve their English writing composition skills.

The first book to use at each level is the Reading and Spelling workbook.  The program uses a very systematic, explicit approach to teaching the forty-four English speech sounds.  After completing the Reading and Spelling workbook, students are ready to practice reading by using the Reading Comprehension workbook https://fisher-hill.com/product-category/comprehension/ or writing by using the Writing Composition workbook https://fisher-hill.com/product-category/composition/ .  The Vocabulary workbook reviews the vocabulary at each level. Adults like our workbooks because the pace is reasonable, print is large, directions are in Spanish, there’s lots of pictures but the content is for adults.  Teachers like our books because everything is ready to go!  There’s an answer key at the end of each lesson and an English translation of the Spanish directions at the end of each book.
