Easy to Use ESL Workbooks for Online Learning

Fisher Hill has many easy to use ESL EWorkbooks for online learning.  Students can fill in the workbook pages then copy or share the workbook pages with the teacher.  These easy to use workbooks will provide excellent lessons and practice for ESL students.

Go to our website at www.Fisher-Hill.com, from the top tool bar, click on Fisher Hill Store, then click a subject. Next click on the workbook for more information.  For every workbook, there are Sample Pages. Click on the blue rectangle box that says Sample Pages to view pages from the book.  Under the blue box that says Sample Pages, is the word OPTION. Click on Choose an option to select the hard copy or the ebook.  Once you have paid for the Ebook, there will be a purple box to click on so you can download the book.

The following workbooks can be downloaded.

Workbooks for the English for the Spanish Speaker series. https://fisher-hill.com/english-series-to-english-for-the-spanish-speaker/ There are four workbooks.  Each book in the series has eight lessons.  In Books 1 and 2, the lessons are about every day activities.  In Books 3 and 4, four lessons are about every day activities and the other four are about United States history or government.  The print in the workbooks is large.  The reading level in Book 1 is at the first and second grade level.  The books get progressively more difficult.  The reading level for Book 4 is at the fourth grade reading level.  Each lesson begins with a vocabulary list, then a conversation, story, activity pages, and finally an answer key. The lessons are bilingual with the word lists, conversations, and stories presented in Spanish and English.  The directions for the activity pages are in Spanish but the activities are in English.  There are two dictionaries at the back of each workbook: a Spanish dictionary and an English dictionary. There is a CD available that can also be downloaded for each workbook. With the CD, students can listen to pronunciation of the words in the vocabulary list, conversation and story for each lesson.

The first book to use at each level is the Reading and Spelling workbook.  The program uses a very systematic, explicit approach to teaching the forty-four speech sounds used in the English language.  After completing the Reading and Spelling workbook, students are ready to practice reading by using the Reading Comprehesnion workbook.  They can also practicing writing by using the Writing Composition workbook.  The Vocabulary workbookreviews the vocabulary for that level. After completing the six levels, students will have an excellent foundation in English literacy.
