United States of America Stories, Maps, Activities in Spanish and English Series
Fisher Hill’s United States of America Stories, Maps, Activities in Spanish and English series includes four workbooks that provide an overview of U.S. history and geography. Activities include charts, graphs, tables, maps, comprehension and vocabulary questions. Each workbook contains information about twelve or thirteen states. Stories and activities are in Spanish and English.
This bilingual series is written on a fourth-grade reading level in 16 point type. Each workbook contains stories, maps and activities.
Each state is presented by a story, then a vocabulary and comprehension page, next a map with questions and finally a chart, table, graph or other type of activity which presents information to the students. Most stories deal with a historical topic. The stories are about men and women from different racial groups who helped build this nation. The vocabulary and comprehension page is used in conjunction with the story. The map shows the major cities, rivers, geographic areas and products from that state. The charts, tables and graphs present information for students to read and use.
When students finish the series, they will have an overview of United States history and geography. At the end of the book is an answer key and index.
