Many people believe that climate change is the greatest environmental threat of our time, endangering people’s health, communities, economy and national security. I’ve been watching the evening news for forty years, and I do not remember so many news stories about weather. In the east they have flooding, in the midwest it’s tornadoes, in the west, large forest fires and drought.
Carbon pollution / Climate Change is the main reason our planet is getting warmer which increases the chances of weather disasters. We can cut carbon pollution by reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and increasing our use of clean, renewable energy. We can implement policies that help prepare for flooding, drought, storms and other consequences of climate change.
