For each level, students start with the Reading and Spelling workbook. After finishing this workbook, student can use the Reading Comprehension and Writing Composition workbooks to practice those skills. The Vocabulary workbook reviews the vocabulary for that level. The workbooks have lots of pictures and graphic organizers. The workbooks are geared for Spanish speaking teens and adults, but students of all languages can greatly benefit from these structured, explicit workbooks. The twenty-four workbooks are based on the Orton Gillingham approach to teaching the English speech sounds and then using those sounds to read, spell and write.
On our web page www.Fisher-Hill.com, you can download sample lessons or pages from each workbook. Click on a workbook and then click on the blue rectangle that says Sample Pages of Lesson. Also, on our webpage, are placement tests to determine on which level a student should begin.
